Privacy Policy

DetectTheAI's current homepage scanner is static and browser-based. It is designed for practical authenticity review without accounts, paid APIs, or a connected backend.

Current scanner behavior

What runs in your browser

Text review

The Text tab reviews writing signals locally in your browser. Do not paste private, sensitive, or confidential text.

Image file review

The Image tab reads local file details such as file name, type, size, and dimensions. Images are not uploaded by the current static scanner.

Link review

The Link tab checks URL-level signals only. It does not fetch, scrape, or read the external page contents.

Information you should avoid entering

Do not paste passwords, private messages, legal documents, medical information, financial information, school records, confidential work material, or personal documents into any scanner unless you understand exactly how that scanner handles data.

DetectTheAI results are estimates, not proof. The scanner is meant to guide review, not make final decisions about people or content.

Website, blog, and server logs

The static homepage and support pages may be served through normal hosting infrastructure. Basic server logs can include standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, date, and time.

The blog runs on WordPress at /blog/. WordPress, installed plugins, spam protection, security tools, or hosting systems may use normal cookies or logs needed to operate and protect the site.

External links

DetectTheAI links to blog sources and other third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices. Review their policies before sharing information with them.

Future changes

If DetectTheAI later adds analytics, ads, account features, paid APIs, server-side page fetching, or a backend service, this page should be updated before those features are used.

Questions about privacy can be sent through the contact page.
